The Rehoboth Beach Museum is pleased to announce the screening of a video oral history with Mr. Hurley Waples, Jr. on July 14 at 4 p.m. Reservations are required and may be made by registering online

Mr. Waples is a life-long resident of Rehoboth Beach. His memories include grazing horses on Thompson Island, swimming in the canal, and the circus coming to town. A prominent member of the Faith United Methodist Church, Mr. Waples is a mentor to young people in the African American Community and is an accomplished wood worker. Mr. Waples also recalls farm life in the area and that his grandfather, born a slave, became free and was one of the founders of Faith United Methodist Church.

The Rehoboth Beach Museum is located at 511 Rehoboth Avenue. The museum is handicap accessible and admission is by donation.
