About The Exhibition
"From Family Treasures to Shared History: Stories Behind the Gifts," celebrates both the personal connection of the donors and the transformation of private heirlooms into public historical artifacts, acknowledging that the pieces aren't just objects - they come with meaningful stories about why people choose to share them with the community through the historical society.
In 2024, the museum was gifted a wide variety of artifacts, including a Rehoboth Avenue railroad era diorama, a working 1950s jukebox with plenty of 45s to listen to, a 1883 copy of The Merry Adventures of Robinhood, and much more. Some pieces came to us from Rehoboth locals, some who had family history here, but all with the intention of preserving the history embodied within.
The exhibit is located in the first floor gallery and we invite everyone to come and see it for themselves!
