Used history book sale

An eclectic collection of over 400 previously owned history books will be offered for sale at the Rehoboth Beach Museum On Friday and Saturday, September 22 from 9 am - 3pm and 23 from 9am-1pm.

The books are from the collection of an avid history buff, the late Josias (Jay) Cromwell, of Rehoboth Beach and Baltimore. Cromwell's interest included a broad range of subjects, including biographies, British and European history, World War II, the American Civil War, and many others.

Notable titles include:

• The Last Lion, William Manchester's 3 volume biography of Winston Churchill
• Carl Sandburg's 4 volume biography of Abraham Lincoln
• James Thomas Flexner's 4 volume biography of George Washington.
• Shelby Foote's The Civil War: a Narrative (3 volume set)

The sale will take place at the Museum, on Friday, September 22, 9:00a.m.-3:00 p.m. and Saturday, September 23, 9:00a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

All books are in used, but good condition and reasonably priced. All sales are final.

The collection is made available by Cromwell's longtime partner, Mary Lou Kupfer. All proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Rehoboth Beach Museum.
