The Rehoboth Beach Historical Society and Museum is continuing its series, In Their Own Words with a presentation of the Oral History of Ms. Ada Burton.

Ms. Burton was born in Rehoboth Beach at a time when there was still segregation in Rehoboth. She takes us through the restrictions that were in place during her early years, the schools she attended, and discusses what it was like in what is now West Rehoboth in the 1950s and ‘60s.

Please join us for this zoom presentation from the Rehoboth Beach Museum, on February 10th at 7 p.m.

For those who cannot attend this session or do not have access to the Zoom presentation, we will do an afternoon screening of Ms. Burton’s oral history in the museum’s lecture hall on February 17th at 1p.m. Reservations are required, please click below to register.
