Advanced Memoir Writing Class
The basic memoir writing workshops have been extremely popular at the Rehoboth Beach Museum. Crafting a memoir is an intensely personal undertaking and previous participants have loved the opportunity to chronicle life memories.
Of all the forms of non-fiction, memoir writing is the most personal. And it has become one of the most popular forms of written expression. Without question, writing memoirs can provide an opportunity to create a personal legacy for friends and family alike.
This new workshop will cover an array of advanced memoir writing skills and will include something unique: Writing your own obituary (No one better qualified to write it than you). This series of workshops will begin on Thursday, November 2 and run for three consecutive weeks, at 10 am. Having completed the basic workshop at the museum would be helpful- but not required.
The workshop will be taught by Rae Tyson, a local journalist who teaches memoir writing courses at the University of Delaware's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute in Lewes. Registration is required, a $20 fee for members, and $25.00 fee for non-members for the entire, three-part workshop series will be used to support museum programs.
Reservations are required and registration is limited so please call (302) 227-7310 to save a spot. The museum is located at 511 Rehoboth Avenue, Rehoboth Beach, DE. Parking is available and the museum is handicap accessible.
